I am positive that a lot of of you have thought at least once a few times about outsourcing. Could you introduce it in your enterprise? What are the advantages?Outsourcing allows to transfer some functions to a third party so that the organization can focus on the core business. Here is a very simple example that could allow to explain how it works: company that operates in the field of event management and conferences does not need to have the IT department. IT outsourcing enterprise would not only be sufficient, but presumably even superrior in this case. The major target is cost reduction – that is low-priced to outsource IT specialists, than to keep the IT department in the enterprise. However, we need to keep in mind that this is a greatly streamlined illustration.
The vast majority of the difficulties and risks resulting from outsourcing are associated with bad election of third party. Undoubtedly, the number of gains of outsourcing surpass the number of deficiences. To start with, outsourcing can lessen labor costs. The relevant point is if the enterprise uses the services of the firm located in the same country or abroad. That is particularly popular in the IT sector – many famous companies have “their” IT departments outsourced and located in India, where there are plenty of educated people but less expensive cost labor at the same time. Second, outsourcing allows you to concentrate on the key processess of your company. For instance, if the improvement of updated operating system would be outsourced, we can pay attention to key areas, like acquiring new costumers.
There are also many minor advantages such as having an access to a group of professionals that we could not afford to hire otherwise as our employee. At the same time, this allows to enhance the quality of services.

At the end it is worth noting that the word “outsourcing” has become an umbrella term. Not everything which is transferred to a third party can be considered as outsourced. For example – service known as „managed services”.
Although it can be often considered as some kind of outsourcing, this term emphasises business purpose, that goes far beyond the cost savings. Accordingly, it is worth to recall, that even though outsourcing is a very broad concept, not everything could be part of that “category”.
